I was hoping the little b-----d would freeze into his hole, but no such luck.
Going from one crisis to another here, some weather related, some self induced, and a couple that hit from way out in left field.
Cold weather has exposed some marginal batteries, two in tractors, and the one in my sister's car.
Smoke leaked out of the alternator on my plow truck.
Same truck bled to death, TWICE, before I gave up and replaced every inch of transmission cooler line.
Tractor ran out of fuel while warming up, couldn't bleed the fuel system. Went to change the filters, and my less than coordinated helper managed to smash the glass bowl of the water separator.
Control module on my used oil furnace gave out, new one should be here tomorrow. We rigged up a temporary fuel oil furnace to heat the garage, but it is half the size, and struggles to keep the place above freezing.
Snowplow client insists on inviting friends who could get a car stuck in a Wal-Mart parking lot in midsummer. Guess whose fault it is that their rental car with half bald summer tires got stuck?
Things are probably going no worse than usual, but the continued sub-zero temperatures make everything a little harder. I stayed inside most of today trying to catch up on paperwork, I will be going out early to start plowing snow.
