Who else made boxes for Snap-on over the years??

Snap on tool boxes were made by Snap on and MBC.
Snap on tool boxes were made in the U.S.A. and Canada.
Snap on tool boxes were not made by beach. Or waterloo.
There remain questions about where exactly in Canada Snap on boxes were made.

I think it's appropriate to say they were made in several locations most if not all of which were identified.

As stated above, there is at least a chance that the 1979 KC 506 top box was made by Beach. When I have more time, I intend to try to determine one way or the other...

On a related note - who is the cheapest brand to buy to get Waterloo quality? - I care ZERO about what name is on the box, just want the best quality for the least bucks - and I hate those boxes that each drawer has to be unlocked way over on the right hand side to open it!

Husky from Home Depot. My 2 6 drawer top boxes are Husky branded, but have Waterloo part #'s. My manual for 1 says Waterloo Industries on it, the manual for the other (bought 3 months later)does not. I bought them back when they were 99.00. Last time I saw, they were down to 79.99
They're discontinued now, at least that's what the HD rep told me...Just check the model #'s. If it starts with a 26..it's the Waterloo model.

I somehow missed this thread, did you ever find out more? I personally have never come across a Snap On box that was made by Beach.
