Yeah, it was at $72.50 or so for several days. The buyer had more money than brains IMO.

Well, the reason I was asking is that I had one in the post (soon to be the subject of its own thread... in case anyone is interested, it turned out the box is a KRA250B, and the tote inside is a KRA250A. I'm a happy bunny

Some tools (pliers on top, hammers in the bottom) are loose but I hate the situation where I must dig through a buch of tools to find something. So, I prefer using wrench rolls or other such things to keep the tools somehow organized.
PS. mine is KRA-25

He said a ways up the thread they were all gone.
I had a kra21 when i started out my apprentaship , the guy that was mentoring me bought it for me off the van to put my apprentince tools in and to add to as and when, it served me well i left my apprentaship followed my mentor and by the good freind and went to better pastures.
I expanded my tools and my kra21 became a car/breakdown private job tool box, however it was stolen from my car ;-(
I still have one draw with my apprentice tools , or 95% of them , but i miss that box. I look now and again but a road kill version still make good money , ibe found one bit one latch is broken , and i dont know if i can fix it.
I still have the tote tray that came with it though and its still well used.

I fly most places so everything has to be light. The stacked box is the best I've ever seen for working outside, all the layers overlap top down so it can sit in the rain all day and stay dry inside. The top is 15 yrs old, bottom is 10+ so the plastic lasts pretty well, but not forever. I only take it when I need extra hand tools. Otherwise it's just the bag of hand tools with the rest of my safety gear and rest equipment in 2 or 3 or 4 'action packers'.
Really cool display of your tools. I've been looking for a small box to carry extra tools to the job site, and I have two of the 3 tiered boxes in the basement (Craftsman, not Waterloo). Couple of questions:
1. In your display of tools what are the white, red, green, plastic pieces? Looks like they might hold bits.
2. If possible, I'd love to see how you have organized your Waterloo box.

Yes, the coloured pieces are bits for the Pickquick screwdriver; half a dozen torx and some others. They seem to be nearly indestructible and never get lost since you have to put one in to get one out.
As for the Waterloo box, I just pack it when I need it now but when it was my daily box I kept 1/4 sockets, a couple screwdrivers and small stuff in the top, most of my wrenches and pliers in the middle and the small hammer, 3/8 drive and crescent wrench in the bottom.
Weight was always key as I'd often have to carry it up ladders, through buildings or sometimes up many many flights of stairs. Eventually I used a tool belt and he box so I could carry less when I didn't need 3/8 drive and all the wrenches. It gave me a place to hang my meters and cordless impact but was no good in the rain.

I've got a pretty cool little Dietz tool box. Syracuse, NY. Dimensions are about 12"W x 6"D x 4.5H". It came with a headlamp replacement set originally - the original contents are long-gone. Right now I'm not really using it for anything in particular. The metal is in good shape, but I think I will give it some new paint as the surface finish is pretty beat up:

Looks the same as the ones Craftsman sold to hold gift cards some years ago. More recently Horrible Fright had their version of it also.
I have the Craftsman version & actually use it as a toolbox. Pic is on this thread in Post #65.

Nice little Dunlap toolbox I picked up somewhere. Stays in the dining room sideboard and holds the wifey's tools: a couple tape measures (there is a lufkin I every room Of our house), husky screwdrivers and a 4" crescent. It really bothers me how the sticker was applied all catty wampus.

Comes in very handy. It's very portable, yet it's kind of heavy for how small it is. It's one of my favorite tiny kits.

Well guys, I joined the club.
I have lusted after one of these little snapper boxes ever since stumbling in this thread a couple years ago. Work has been good to me lately, so I treated myself to a little Christmas present.
I bought a KR-65 off the 'bay. I love this little box. I can't say its worth the money, or is a good value, but I'm glad I got one. I suppose its one of those objects that has some quality that makes it greater than the sum of its parts.
If I could change one thing, it would be the latch system. The later versions fixed this problem, but mine requires the keys to open and close. I may end up machining a custom little knob to replace the lock cylinder. Its really not that bad in practice, but I'm afraid I'm gonna snap the key off in the lock.
Here's my tool list. This is subject to change, but for now it works for me. I use this box in an industrial environment, for minor repairs and installations. I do have my big KR1000 box usually nearby, so I don't need to have everything in here, but this is my most used stuff.
Snap on needle nose pliers with cutters
Knipex mini bolt cutters
Snap on wire strippers and crimper
Vise grip groove joint pliers
Snap on DOE wrenches, 7/16" - 3/4"
SK 10" adjustable wrench
Dasco center punch
Dasco 5/16" pin punch
Tekton starter punch
Eklind hex wrench folders, SAE and metric
Snap on long handle 3/8" ratchet
Snap on 1/4" standard length ratchet
Snap on long handle 1/4" ratchet
Snap on removable shank ratcheting screwdriver. I added a Mac 1/4" drive double end extension so I could use it as a ratcheting nut driver.
Contents of a BLPGSS1462 Blue Point 1/4" drive general service set. I love these sets, they have the largest range of sizes I've found for the money. Up to 5/8" and 14mm. I have 3 or 4 of them, because they are so handy. I took out the spinner handle because my ratcheting screwdriver does the same thing, and I loaned the flex extension to my dad, and he hasn't returned it yet.

Custom hammer made by some old toolmaker named Gary. I bought his toolbox off craigslist when he retired a couple years ago, and this little copper head hammer fits nicely in the box.

I'd like to replace the ****** punches with good ones, I just haven't gotten around to it.
