Hey guys,

Tool addicted-DIY'er here, I've been looking at investing into a nice toolchest next year. I've been eyeballing Lista, Rousseau and Metalia with much interest lately.

I've seen the Metalias at car shows (they have a top-fuel dragster series) and they are absolutely bat-**** crazy, price is right and the build quality is simply amazing, I was drolling watching them for nearly an hour, unfortunately they don't have (yet) interesting drawer configurations.

Lista and Rousseau do, however, and since Rousseau is Quebec-built, I'm kind of leaning that way.

SO.

Who has some rousseau boxes here? I'd love to see them.

They're both great competitor (never heard of Metalia though), IMO, but what stands out is the look of Lista that I like the most. The handle on the Rousseau is quite large and I've seen both Lista and Rousseau in person at two of Subaru dealership in Houston. Out of all modular box brands out there, I like the clean and simple look of Lista.

I own two eye-level Vidmar boxes, one small Lista roll-away box, and one Lista desk. I just like the look and feel of the drawer design.

@Trey_T Thanks for the Lista & Vidmar mention! @Traule let me know if I can help answer any questions about Lista or Vidmar toolboxes.

I like the look of Lista as well, but the Rousseau boxes are definitely top notch. I was very impressed with them in person, and I like the magnetic drawer close. The fit and finish is a little more refined than Lista seems to be.

Rousseau rolling cabinets look real nice. Be careful in your draw depth choice, 21" is too short, even 24" is a bit short, 27" gives you plenty of depth for any configuration of socket, wrenches etc. Definitely go for 400 lb drawer capacity

Stationary cabinets...
Just checked out the Rousseau configurations, the number of drawers per unit seem a bit limited, otherwise nice cabinets. Still you can't beat Lista or Vidmar for accessories and configurations; other point of Lista is the name, if cabinet is ever resold.
