I use something similar from Craftsman that sticks into the end of a socket and then you can put a wrench on it. I use it to change out one of the spark plugs on my 2000 Dodge Ram Van B1500.

they do provide a low profile ratcheting capability. i saw a set sell on ebay last week for 5 bucks.

For 5 bucks I would fall for that gimmick, I will try almost any tool, even the gimmicks if I can get them on the cheap!

That's why I love garage sales. I can pick up all sorts of wierd and obscure tools and try them out without forking over a ton of cash first.

They really are. I just used mine to remove the splash sheild on a car that had the wheel still on. Now much clearance, but with one of those KD adaptors, a 13mm gearwrench and the right torx bit, I was in business!
