Lets make a list of companies that can be credited for making common tools we know and love.

For example

Radial arm saws - dewalt
Jigsaws and rotary hammers - bosch
Reciprocating saws - milwaukee
Modular sockets and ratchets - snap on (I could be wrong)

Coats....tire machines.

I'm taking oldschool...manual stomp bead breakers and long "walkaround" dismount/mount tools. The powered units came later.

Thinking back to the service stations of my youth....

Bosch? I'm sure they make a great light vertical reciprocating saw these days, but are they the inventors?

I think not. I've got a great Rockwell bayonet saw from the 60s, and I know that many others pioneered the "sabre saw" lines from way back when...

1946 just says they introduced the jig saw (to their product line), not that they were first, or invented it.

1985 is the first cordless rotary hammer. Rotary hammers were around long before this I'm sure.

No doubt, Bosch is a fine maker of various products and did pioneer some products we use today.

No i think bosch actually did invent the electric jigsaw... i recall something about a guy attaching a blade to a sewing machine
