First if all its obvious that Fuller screwdrivers
and nut drivers haven't been made in Canada
for a long time. Who made them in Canada?

I know it wasn't the Mckenzie Brothers
(Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas)
Otherwise the shafts would be on the wrong
ends after too much beer on break

LoL

I don't know but they switched the screwdrivers to imports about 3 years ago I think. I got some from Amazon about then and they were still made in Canada but the next ones I got were taiwan(If I remember correctly)

Yes, I believe Fuller made their own screwdrivers and nutdrivers under their own name, and re-labeled for Mastercraft (Canadian Tire) and Rona. I also remember seeing the same Canadian made/stamped drivers with the 'Ace' (hardware) name on them.

This doesn't help with the original question, but I remember back in the '70s and '80s, lots of different brands of screwdrivers came with "Canadian Made Unbreakable Handle" cast into screwdriver handles.

It's rare for tools to be made in Canada, sadly. If there's an Ollie's Bargain Outlet near you, look for the Richard pry bars (made in Canada) and they are nice.

Fuller is still available in Canada. I have seen them as recently as a couple of weeks ago at Rona and Princess Auto. As the OP noted, they are made in China now.

However, it was within the last 10 years they moved. I bought some Made in Canada Fullers from Princess Auto around 2006-8 that were clearly made in Canada (which is why I bought them).

Also as noted they made screwdrivers that were rebadged as Mastercraft. Same quality in the tool but slightly different handles (not as many prongs on the handle than their self-dranded ones).

I have had the Golden Grip series of screwdrivers for more than 30 years and believe they were made in Canada. Fuller is now in Montreal and think they have been a long time. They may have farmed out some stuff to China but the Golden Grip series are still made in Montreal.
I figure 30 years for a cheap set is worthy of a new set now that they are slowly getting worn out. I used them professionally for most of that 30 years. I reach for them before the Snapon or Mastercraft.
