Who Made the First 3/4" Ratchet?

^ it's called "copy and paste". when you're laying out ad copy for print media you use the material you have available.
I used to do all the ad layouts for the stores in our ads - you use stock images from any place you can find them.

done in a completely different way now... they use computers.

I did it with X-acto knives and rubber cement and rub-on-transfer lettering. ("Pres-Type")

I finally found a Blackhawk no. 916 3/4" ratchet in really good shape. It also has the original T-13X drive plug. After much research, I believe Blackhawk made the first 3/4" ratchet that was meant to use with sockets. According to AA, Blackhawk was the first to make a 3/4" ratchet & broached 3/4" sockets in 1924-25. I haven't received it yet. I'll post better pics once it shows up. If anyone knows of a 3/4" ratchet or sockets (broached) before 1924, I'd be interested to know.

My 3/4" Blackhawk 916 showed up today. I have several 3/4" ratchets but this one is definitely my favorite. This one has the DIF logo forged into the handle from International Drop Forge. The original T-13X drive plug is definitely a bonus. I'm real pleased with it's original condition. Patina is great, no rust or scratches. 16 tooth mechanism. I'm still convinced through my research that this Blackhawk 916 was the first 3/4" ratchet meant for sockets. I have over 100 ratchets. Unbelievably this is my first Blackhawk. I think I'm hooked

Just curious. Does your Blackhawk 916 have an oil port on one side?
