I have a 4" Proto adjustable made by Crescent and ordered some new 12" Proto "ClickStop" adjustables for work made by WF. I've got this older 12" and was curious if anyone knew who the manufacturer was. Thanks.

Can't really tell cuz those pics are the size of postage stamps lol but if the bottom of the static jaw has a radius going into the slide, it was made by JP Danielson.

Edit: just looked at my pics, I don't think it is JP Danielson. Check out AA

I don't think it answer anything, but it looks to be the same as my Blue-Point. I have no idea if SO actually made the older USA adjustables. It is odd that on one side it's a Blue-Point and on the other side it says Snap-on tool Corp, Kenosha, WI. I either added nothing, answered, or deepen the mystery.

I believe Blue Points were made by Diamond,,,,,,,,,,,good stuff!!

Not saying they couldn't have different designs, but there are things that don't match on the 10" Blue-Point to my 10" Diamond. Main reason I didn't throw out Diamond before. Is there any possibility Proto actually made adjustables at one time, or has it always been two or three companies made them for everybody else?

Thanks for the info. I was thinking maybe Diamond but wasn't certain. There aren't any markings that I can see. The Western Forge ones have the small WF that all of their wrenches have. The 4" Crescent made doesn't have any identifiers either though. It's the exact same as my Crescent and Armstrong adjustables though. It's not a Clikstop though, maybe the reason for different suppliers?
