Who made this 3/8" dr hinged handle speeder?

No markings at all, has a hard, thick black paint on it. Seems to be well made and have a quality "feel" to it. I thought maybe it was missing something on the bearing end but it has the same paint on it also. Part of a automobile tool kit?

Maybe a Thorsen or P&C. Something West Coast is my guess. It’s hard to tell though. I think the handle was a replacement. Looks welded on. Still cool, I mean, it exists. 3/8 drive are less common.

Maybe replaced but the paint is consistent? I thought maybe had a rubber cover or something like that.
That was why I bought it, 3/8"dr, never seen one, 1/2" was way more common. No expert, but the look of the steel reminds me of Bog or Hinsdale.

The outside of the bearing looks like it had something that has created rub marks on the outer race, but was originaly painted

^ I can't think of anybody who made a unit like that. I was just following @3baygarage 's suggestion, and I think he may be right.

If Thorsen made one, it's quite possible P & C also made one.

I agree. Looks like a bearing welded on to the shaft to make a replacement handle.

I haven't seen a P&C 3/8"dr in a catalog yet but have only looked breifly in a couple.

I saw that one (shape) in a P&C catalog. Can you get a close up of the drive end detent ball crimp? Is there a spring loaded detent ball to hold the drive end in position?
Old early P&C that I have seen has a rusty color and a dark hue like yours. Mine is a grayish hue like early Duro but haven't seen a 3/8" speeder in catalog. Haven't seen any in a Bog or Hinsdale catalogs either.

I found a pic of an old Thorsen TT 62J regular 3/8" dr speeder on Ebay, posted buy a member of the GJ. The coloring is similar but the shape is different than mine.
