Who made this chop saw?

So I picked up a chopsaw for $15 off craigslist. This thing is well built but I can't find a maker mark on it anywhere. The plastic housing etc feels much more stout than modern saws and the metal parts have no bend to them at all. It looks like Tool Shop colors but I think it is older and much better built than anything they have.

Any aficionados want to take a stab at it?

The sliding backstop is what has me puzzled. I've never seen that on a cheap saw. Most of the cheap saws I have seen have a series of holes. This one has a sliding track so you can move it wherever.

I too would lean towards tool shop. A work we have a "menards" chop saw for cutting hyd hose, I wish the POS would die, but it won't.
