So I had this really nice setup, 60 Gallon tank, Saylor Beall 703 pump, Baldor motor. It was quiet, and would maintain 90psi even with die grinder in continuous use. An acquaintance was closing his shop and had a Quincy QT5 he was unloading. It was a little bigger and more CFM, and my dad was looking for a good 60 gallon unit. So pops got my Saylor Beall, and I got the QT5. Like an idiot, I didn't bother to double check if the QT5 had a 3phase motor...it did, which wasn't going to work. So I found a guy selling this compressor that had a nice Century 230V 5Hp single phase motor for a few hundred less than a new 5hp motor would cost, pulley was right size, magnetic starter, etc. So I harvested the motor off this otherwise pristine American made unit. It appears single stage and high volume. For the life of me I have no idea who made this pump! It looks extremely well made and I'd like to maybe make it my home unit since I don't need a 2 stage there. Any ideas?
