Good morning men. Is anyone able to help me on this one. There is no other markings than the front plate which is well, ya. I'd like to know about if it's worth buying and maybe restoring, I'd like to do so. If anyone would be so kind, I'd sure appreciate the help. Thanks

A better pic for you, the readers.

Interesting how the shrouds appear to be part of the motor housing.

I decided to randomly search for grinders, here's one not WI but MI, price is right, and appears heavy-duty.

Asking $70

Sun International 8 Inch 3/4HP Grinder on Pedestal - $70 (Belmont)

Has a wire wheel and buffer wheel on it right now. Runs good nice powerful grinder / buffer. Runs on 110v power.

As an added bonus, make the trip on a Wednesday afternoon, and after picking it up, head south on US-131 past Martin (MI) Dragway, and visit scenic Hickory Corners where you can enjoy one of the nation's best Auto Museums, the Gilmore.

I recommend a stop at Ned's on Gull Lake, about 10 minutes away. A good restaurant.

On Saturdays and Sundays, head to Galesburg Speedway, another ~20 minutes from Ned's, by I-94, in Galesburg-Agusta MI.

You can see the world's fastest plane a short distance from Galesburg Speedway, at Air Zoo (that would be the SR-71, and this one is a two-seater!). If it takes you 20 minutes from Galesburg Speedway to Air Zoo, you were dawdling and sight-seeing.

Hey I appreciate the help guys. I like that grinder more cleaned up!

There is also one with a big table for both sides around here. I wanted to grab it also. This cadet here. Is it worth a car ride and 75 bucks? I'd restore it.
Restore and flip it. You would make money IMHO.

That thing is huge for a home shop. It's for commercial or the pole barn crowd.

True. It looks larger. It'd be fun to restore. I'm going to pick them both up (I hope) when I get some ching. I like them both and they're within 12 minutes of each other 60 miles away. It may be a sign😬
