Who Made This Old Speeder?

I cannot find any identifying marks on this old speeder. It has some features that should help identify it, and the photos should help.

The notches on the square seem to be associated with displacing part of the square to keep the socket from moving up. It looks like the corner of the square is displaced just above the notch on opposite sides. This works very well.

The ball is retained by a brass collar pressed into the hole.

The knob seems distinctive.

Looks kinda Boggish to me? I think I have one around here somewhere...…..God is probably the only one that knows where though.
