Who made this ratchet?

Hello, folks - I found this 3/8" drive ratchet in a junk store - never have seen one before, and can find no info on the Internet.
It's marked "Rota-Grip", and "pat. applied for".
It's not a toothed item - it turns smoothly with no clicks. It has no play at all.
Turning the reversing knob all the way clockwise or counterclockwise reverses it. The center position locks it.
It's 7-1/4" long, appears to be a very well-made tool.
Anyone got any info? Thanks for looking!

These Snap On with the printed dust covers are my favorite. Nice older contours and smooth gears. ca.70s-80s.
