There is a square cut out on the backside that has a mounting hole on each corner like a plate had been there..Power outlet was on the side, with a cover plate if not used

How do you keep the mice out?Mine has an aluminum tambour door and no outlets, so they were sold in several different configurations.

I’d say probably original and that there were several possible configurations. I would think rectangular. I had a 1963 box with it on the side, and with an aluminum door. My current one is about 1976 with no cutout. There is a square cut out on the backside that has a mounting hole on each corner like a plate had been there..
Was this original or homeowner fudd?
