Jaker: I think Eron also made vises in England after WWII so do you have any pics of the other side. I also think it's a 6 inch vise. Paramo and Record made similar designs. Record split off to other companies either during WWII or maybe a bit before because the English didn't want the Germans bombing the only vise and tool factory they had.

made in England or even if Japan they are great vises if not cracked, welded or mis used.

Probably not a Parker, but could be. it is a good old US vise with that footprint. could be a Reed, Morgan, Hollands or a # of other ones. in any case i'd probably buy both to restore if reasonable and if no issues (cracks, welds, etc..).

good luck

Thanks I've never seen one marked like that. I was interested in buying it but since it's made in japan I'm going to pass. I'm going to look at the one laying on it's side. It reminds me of a Chas. Parker.

I wouldn't normally class anything coming out of Japan as tat. That's likely a piece of good quality kit. Definitely seems to have similar, though slightly exaggerated, styling to the old English vices. The side beads for the rear jaw appear more like wings on that one, for example.

of course when you google Eron 150 the first post is a GJ so here is that one and it looks like it might be a great Japanese vise so don't pass on it unless it's beat or too pricey.

another look at the one laying on the side and it might be a Parker or a relative with the big stop to keep the main screw in that they made. I didn't think Parker at first because shortish necks under its jaws and most the Parkers I know of have pretty long necks.
