Possibly Bridgeport? Someone had one listed on eBay with that patent number as a Bridgeport... and they had a habit of not putting their name on things.

I have an old screwdriver that looks very similar to this, it has TOYOTA stamped on the ferrule. I also have a few old wood handled screwdrivers stamped MECHANICS TOOL AND FORGE SABINA OHIO. Any interest? ken.

I think it's almost certainly not Stanley - that would have been Lic. 1.

I believe it is one of Apex, Irwin or Millers Falls.

Its in such nice shape, didnt want to toss it. I have alot of theses wooden screwdrivers and dont want them.

yeah i might guess apex, the ferrule looks kind of similar to that on my apex wood handled drivers. i have two different variants of stanley and neither one looks similar.
