Who made this wrench?

I got two wrenches from the same estate sale. One is Tru Fit which is probably from the 50s. The other one has no marks except for a single letter A on one side.
Does anybody recognize it?

Many of that particular style of Barcalo DOE wrenches were unmarked. Here is one I found on Thursday with some others.

Thank you, 3baygarage and Don! This is the first time I saw Barcalo like this.
I wish I became interested in tools when I lived in Buffalo!

3bay garage: well, I technically lived in one of suburbs and worked in Buffalo. I am not sure if I would have enjoyed living downtown. If you lived there - you know Amherst?

d42jeep: thank you for the link. Well, initially I wanted to slowly collect some Snap On and old Craftsman. Then I added SK. Then I got introduced to PLVMB (rare in MA though) Now I will keep an eye on the geometric Barcalo as well!
I need to start going to flee markets : )

Hah! Yes, I know Amherst well. Let’s just say they know a quick money grab when they see one. Aka, a house warming party in the winter where parked cars are lining the street. The court doesn’t care if you take the time to show up and argue there are no signs on the street either. “It’s posted within the town” said he who could care less.

You see, in the city, only bus routes are off limits during the early morning hours.

Sorry, that’s still one of the first thing that comes to mind after all these years,LOL.

I had some good times there - never had any major issues (except once some druggie in Jetta tried to make some money on me by hitting the brakes at high speed on the highway - well, my brakes held well : ) Chased him for some time, but then decided to let him go...
Good memories of the place - there was a nice bike route along the river which ended up in the University (use to exercise there). Do you remember Captain Kidd and Mickey Rats bars (forgot exact location -Angola I think - the two bars on the beach around 30 minutes from Buffalo).
One of my friends had a nice twin 355hp each large block V8's boat... Good times!
You ever went to Pierce Arrow Museum?

They had a lot of nice cars inside including ******* (only 97 made). The magazine was named after that car...

Well, good things come together: added more things to my humble collection today
Thank you for telling me about the geometric Buffalo Barcalo - some signed, some unsigned
