my hf cart racked on a nothing hit since then bad taste all things hf

I'd go out on a limb here and say that you might have received a bum cart. Everyone I know that owns one of these has nothing but praise for them, and some of these guys work in a professional setting and have had their HF carts for several years now.

I haven't had mine that long, but in the short time I've had it it seems to be a very high-quality cart.

I honestly would recommend you try one again, when they go on sale and I'd be willing to bet you'd get better mileage out of it this go around.

racked......

doesnt the HF cart bolt together?

and hit........

ok so the cart was hit?

and it's the carts fault?

I agree with you crewchief888. The HF carts that I have been around were of bolted construction with enough fasteners that I can't believe that they would easily flex, spring or rack. My black HF cart has been used for over a year and been great. A buddy uses a red HF single drawer cart and wheels a large, heavy carry-box around on his. He's happy with his cart too.

I have a Kobalt bottom 26" Have had it for 8 years or so. I use it almost every day. Other than having to adjust the latches after 8 years its fine. Looks good. Works good. No Problems here. I would buy another.

silly question, but have you unloaded the cart, loosened up the harware and tried to square it back up?

i used SO 2 shelf carts for a lot of years, the older square style, and the newer rectangular style (now sold under the blue point name). my carts were heavily loaded, and more than once they would get out of square.
all it took was unloading it, loosening up all the bolts and squaring it back up.
just a thought.

For the average do it yourselfer or the more gentle mechanic the basic Waterloo boxes are a good deal. They are sold at Home Depot and if I'm not mistaken are sold at other stores as well, sometimes with different names. I have a couple of cheap Waterloos. One I've had for 10 yrs. Although lately I haven't used it much it has received heavy use over the years and other than a couple of very small specks of rust (probably from salt splashing on it) it's as good as new. One drawer I use to store my trailer stuff, I have probably 40+lbs of draw bars and the like in it. I am careful when I open it not to pull hard in the center which would probably buckle the drawer front, but I've had no problems with the slides. A bonus is most of the Waterloos are made in the USA.

edit....Used tool boxes are hard to come by, especially nice ones at a good price I've found. Most I've come across are ultra light duty (like you'd use for crafts or a small basement workshop) or severly beaten up and the prices are often 2/3 of new.
