The Mityvac Sliverline kit is probably the best that I know of. They're rebadged by everyone almost and rebuildable. The key to the pump lasting forever is keep all fluids out of the pump chamber, always use that little container in series when removing liquids.

I destroyed a plastic Mityvac by NOT doing this... brake fluid isn't particularly nice either. Wish I would have paid more attention 5 years ago...

If you want something a bit more heavy duty, check this out:

One of these and a pass through Ace hardware for a few trinkets and you'll have all the vacuum you'll ever need.
We run a bunch of these pumps at work, they run 24-7-365 in bad enviroments and are very reliable. They have 4 carbon vanes inside a cast iron pump. Vanes and motor bearings are the only moving parts. An occasional accidental ingestion of brake fluid wouldn't hurt them at all.
The one listed above appears to be brand new.

Want to collapse beer kegs?? Get one of these:

Breast pump for ladies who don't breast feed. Follow?

The breast pump is for those who DO breast feed. The last thing you would want to do is pump milk from them if you don't plan on breast feeding. This only makes them fill up more quickly.

The metal MityVac is the one I have. I found that it was easy to dis-assemble and clean when I sucked brake fluid into it. I saw that they came out with a new streamlined model, which looks cool.

Oh, and I like my milk straight from the tap.
