Who makes a good Wall mount-Strut spring compressor

Looking for a good quality compressor!! It can hydraulic,Air,Electric or a manual. Any suggestions price is not really inportant unless it's more that 2K.

I'd be willing to pay for a compressor that's well made and would last a while.

I'd thought about either the OTC 6585 Strutamer HD or the Branick 7400. The Branick is about 100.00 more, wonder how the two compare?

X3 on the Branick. Used one at work, its nice. Think they got it through NAPA for around 700 bucks at the time. (3 or4 years ago)

Branick is your best best. It may cost a little more but, how much is your head worth if the spring slips under pressure?

Good point.Like i said i will pay for a good quality spring compressor
but from the looks of it, would it be difficult to remove the strut mounts? It looks like the compressor arm would get in the way. How many shekels is it?

The upper bridge arm doesn't get in the way that much. It depends on how the spring is positioned on the lower arms. Some springs give you more room than others. An impact with a swivel socket makes short work of the strut nut. The strut will fall free and if you need more access room you can always relieve spring tension to replace the upper strut mount although I usually don't have to.

We have the Strutamer at work and it works great, have never used the Branick but it does look like it would handle the longer ones better then the OTC.

no doubt about it......brannick
