Who Makes AC Delco's tools?

I'm sure they're cheap imports, but who makes them?

I've seen the ratchets around, and stumbled upon these deep impact sockets at Sears.

Not exactly AC-Delco but GM-related, the few GM GoodWrench ratchets I have are Stanley sourced. Have no idea how old they are.

I can't speak to the hand tools, but many of the power tools are made by Durofix.

Unfortunately no COO on them, but I'm thinking at least one of the same designs that likely got Stanley in deep with the FTC. I have a few of the same design for other Stanley sourced brands that are marked USA while the vast, vast majority I've seen over the years have been overseas or not marked.

Since they aren't marked and an honest COO pedigree is very suspect, I don't include them in the 500+ USA ratchet obsess....., er, "collection" talley...

At one point in time, the AC-D stuff was identical to the Taiwanese Popular Mechanics / Stanley sold at Wal-Mart.

Yes, don't count absolutely identical models in the same brand and drive size although "absolutely identical" can be somewhat fluid in determination - brand name changes over time are counted ("S-K" vs diamond "SK" vs "SK Wayne" vs "SK Tools"), but generally a change like script to block lettering towards the end for New Britain isn't. Definite changes in shift lever style (Craftsman, some Duro/Indestro), quick release or not, definite handle style/shape changes etc. have been counted so far. All USA made and virtually all marked "USA" except in a few select cases where the USA pedigree isn't suspect (like some Wright sourced ratchets, while Stanley sourced ratchets are only counted if marked "USA"). Have over 100 different brandings so far.

Been wanting to do an updated post with pics one day (last ones were a good few hundred ratchets ago), but haven't gotten around to it yet...
