Danaher owns Matco so I would say the same place that churns out craftsman sockets.

matco has sourced sockets from various manufacturers over the years, wright, national hand tool, allen, vim, and some asian companies. i believe the majority of the current line is made by danaher tool goup.

So does anyone have these? Does the easy-to-read wear off or the chrome? Anyone have their own pictures to show. Are they as good as Snap-On?

i have used the matco sockets at my school. they are very durable and the easy read numbers have not worn off of them. they are very nice sockets.

Any pictures. They look really good on the matco site but what about once they are used for a while.

I only have their impact sockets, but I can tell you the numbers have lasted for the last 5 years that I have owned mine.

No thats cool. Its a really good question. I would be pissed if all the numbers wore off.

I just bought a short and deep 3/8 matco set. There are colored numbers on 2 sides of the sockets and they are also engraved at the bottom like snap on sockets are. So even if the colored numbers weres off, you can still tell which on is which.

Ive wonder who in the danaher group makes them also...

On the topic of laser engraving, the matco ones are MUCH better then craftsman. ive had a 1/4 metric set for over a year with no issues. My 13mm deep has marks around the outside from a oil pan job that had tight quarters and the marking is still perfect, but the chrome does have a lil blemish.
