Who makes OEM Tools' boxes/cabinets?

I came across this box/cabinet combo yesterday and it fits pretty much all my necessities, including the price ($1050 before shipping).

I don't have an immense amount of tools at home like I do at work and I'm positive I'll be able to get all of my stuff organized in it. Problem is, I know nothing of OEM Tools nor have I ever seen one of their boxes in person.

So does anyone here have any information or reviews on OEM boxes? Any idea who makes their boxes, say are they pretty much Husky with a different logo?

Thanks!

OEM tools is one of the Great Neck brands. Great Neck saw is an old company on Long Island. They also make Buck Brothers and Scheffield and a couple of other brands. It is pretty much a K Mart level brand with some junk and sone pretty decent stuff. You will find the OEM line in places like Auto Zone. I bought a spring compressor from Eastwood and it looks identical to the OEM. For an expensive purchase I want to see it first and read a lot if reviews.

My only exposure to OEMTools so far is sockets, which I love. And a set of O-ring pics, which I haven't used yet.

Is there anything out there comparable in size and cost?

Simple answer, yes.

Longer answer with a back story.

I recently transferred all of my tools from a 30” wide 5’5” tall 12 drawer and top “hutch” style box to a 6 drawer cart. Believe it or not the layout of the cart with the deeper drawers and flip open top fit everything out of the old box plus I had a free drawer.

With that being said layout is everything. Me personally I hate the tall drawers. One may be nice but stuff ends up stacked and unorganized. Also my socket drawer is always the top drawer and this does not have wide enough drawers for it to work for me.

The box you posted is very large but I think the layout (atleast for my uses) is not very good. I will compliment the top 3 flip open tops, they look like a great space for items in cases but I worry on the weight limit.

It may be perfect for other guys but I could not utilize the space efficiently.

True. I think this will fit all of my home tools with plenty of space to spare. I could definitely go with a smaller chest but I do like the pegboard and cabinets.

I'm sorry but both of those chests are $2500 more than this one. I can't justify that kind of spending for home/hobby shop. My work chest is a US General 44" and a US General 4 drawer cart, from which I clock 60+ hours per week. A $3500 tool chest is completely out of the question.

I'm sorry but you asked who makes boxes for OEMTools. I'm telling you some of it is the same manufacturer as Montezuma. Does this mean your prospective box is the same manufacturer? I have no idea. But when unraveling these "mysteries" it's a starting point.

I was not recommending those boxes to you, nor do I care in the least what you purchase or how you spend your money.

My apologies. I read it as if you recommended those chests as alternatives. My mistake.
