The old school Snapon test kits used to look really well made; that one looks lite duty compared to what I remember, is it a Bluepoint or something? If you are looking for a cheaper solution; Sears has one that is pretty reasonable, the Craftsman line is made by Actron AFAIK...

Go with STAR, decently made USA product for much cheaper than S/O and they're the same supplier Matco uses for their compression/leak down testers.

The old Craftsman compression testers were made by Actron. Both of the ones you listed are Lincoln/MityVac products now.

I have two identical compression gauges, 1-Actron, and 1-Craftsman, that are almost twenty five years old and still work great. I have not even had to change the O-rings.
