From searching these forums I found one: Facom FM-31.JE6T set (8mm-19mm).

Before I hit the buy button, is there any other good quality sets in large metric sizes (>8 mm) for between $75-$150?

I don't need them to be super thin like cone (bike) wrenches. I also looked up the Hazet, Stahwille, Gedore and KTC catalogues but no luck. I also spent hours on Google looking at 'ignition' and 'tappet' wrench sets but they were too small.

Can you help?

Armstrong and wiha make sets that big but more expensive. Probably should stick with facom if it's not a daily tool.

There are others but they're "generic" (import) brands.

Given your location, not sure. Martin and Proto IIRC make check nut wrenches that are pretty thin. You may want to ask members Monte or JMM, they are usually up on the euro brand offerings.

Out of the budget probably but Wurth wrenches ( Stahwille? ) tend to be thinner. I have the DOE, used them daily for a good while.

Darn good wrenches.
