who makes this belt sander?

Hey guys, this is on Craigslist and he is asking $200. I'd have to convert it from 3phase to 110v or 220. Any idea on the make? Is it worth messing with?

I checked the CL ad in Rochester, and everything about it looks like a Rockwell/Delta/Milwaukee.
Make sure you check the drive drum bearings, as they are a ***** to replace and you risk cracking the casting. Also look for gouges in the guards----I wouldn't $200 for a machine that needs parts or is all full of gouges. Good Luck.

Sorry, I don't know who makes it but some of the bits and pieces look like Delta/Rockwell.
That said, you're basically buying a belt sander without a motor and no accompanying disc that needs most of a restoration for $200. To me that's a steep price. Keep shopping. There are better deals out there.

Tough crowd here. It is Rockwell Delta, table shown is worth more than $25.00. If the seller can demo it, probably worth $75-$100, especially since you already have a single phase motor to use on it.

I was going to send you a link to that one yesterday but held off due to the lack of a real table for the belt portion of the unit. I think that one is generally intended to be used in the horizontal position where the work piece is held on top of the belt. I understand that application, but I find MANY more uses for the belt coming at it in a vertical orientation with a decent table to work from.
BTW, the seller - Don - is a ******** tool collector. He's at most tool related auctions in the area and he bids to win. He may actually have a real business buying and selling.

The table on the Craftsman is designed to be able to be mounted either at the end of the roller for horizontal work, or against the vertical lift of the sander, or against the disc as shown. All depends on how it is installed at the time. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the stand was part of the reason for the current cost. I have seen a few as low as $50, especially when I was living in Pittsburgh.
The belt guard is worth about $75 alone, it's worth $200 in parts but if you could get it for $100, it would probably be worth it.
Edit, the upper roller is usually the problem, if it's not damaged, that piece is worth $200 alone.
