So I've been saving up to buy race deck for my 3 car garage and was just about to pull the trigger until today when I saw a local Craigslist add with a ton of garage tile for sale. The guy wanted $1.50 a tile and I offered him $1 each. A few hours later he accepts my offer. He said there were about 450-475 good tiles and a bunch of scrap random cut pieces. He said how about $500 for the lot and I accept. I go look at it and decide to move forward with it. It takes 2 vehicles to haul it all to my house. I start the install and I finish my 3 car garage without even touching what was in my other vehicle. Now what? I had so much left over I use it as a runner down the side of my house. Smoking deal for sure.

While I'm installing it I realized this tile seems bigger than 12x12 and find out its 16x16. That would explain why my 3 car garage was easily covered. I must have gotten 1000sq ft for $500.

So my question to you all is what brand of floor tile is this? I thought it was race deck but it's not. Below are photos of the tabs and the tile. Who makes 16x16 free flow style tile? I need to order a threshold kit for the garage door. Right now I have no ramp.

Anyone recognize the manufacturer?

bump anyone know? lots of views with no response.

Thanks!

Looks like a Racedeck knock off... at 16 x 16 you're looking at 1.77 square feet per tile... if you got 475 good tiles out of the deal that's 840.75 square feet or about 59 cents a square foot... that's pretty darn good!

Just cut any tabs sticking out on the garage opening leading edge with a utility knife, pressure wash and enjoy! :rocker:

Thank you for the reply. Yes after reading your product description this indeed is yours. The size matches and so does the thickness of 3/4". I feel like I just stole this stuff from the previous owner, i only paid $500 for around 1,000-1,200 sq ft. After looking at your cost of $6.81 per sq ft i'm very happy with my purchase. Now I need to call you to order some threshold so i can finish the job. Thanks again for your reply!

I am not sure whose tile that is from the picture?, but there have been a lot of knock-off's that come and go. They are not RaceDeck®

Other than the obvious size difference's....From what I can see it does not have our patent positive locking system - they have more of a loop and peg system with the loops hanging only on the outer wall. Our tiles do not have the top surface divots. Also our FreeFlow modules will interlock with our solid top surface too.

Hopefully, everyone got what they needed from the transaction. Sounds like you are in need of some edges. If you can drop me a PM with your email address, physical address and how many you need, I can get back to you with the cost.

I just sent you an email with some additional photos to verify this indeed is your product.

For the record, anyone looking for large 16x16 ribbed style free flow garage tile i highly recommend Justin's product. It was a snap to install, the tiles are very quiet to walk on, look amazing and will hold up to the task. I do love the 3/4" thick tiles, it creates for a nice strong support system with a nice channel under the tile for maximum flow of air. I will post another thread with some nice photos of my garage and the flooring once i'm done trimming and have the edging put up.

My new cabinets get installed tomorrow morning and the threshold from Justin at Garage Flooring LLC shows up today! That was lightning fast. Thanks for the quick shipment and awesome customer service Justin. I look forward to finishing my trim work and adding the ramp and then giving the garage floor a good scrubbing and be done!

Tell me about cleaning that which falls through the tiles. Do you vac it or hose it? Blow? Does a bunch of stuff stay trapped? IOW, what if you did a wood project and made some sawdust? Is the dust going to get trapped under the floor and become a problem with keeping the cars clean?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but what about a spill of a heavy fluid? I just don't see much flow on the bottom side.

Lastly (I promise), is this a 'soft' floor or can you use a jack on it?

Hopefully, the customer will answer most of these questions for you. I wanted to answer the last one though. You can use jack stands, lifts, whatever you need. IF you need a soft tile in some areas of the garage we have one that will interlock with this.

A spy shot of my new workbench that just got installed. Can't wait to finish the tile trim, clean the garage and then get some good photos to post up.

Wow. That qualifies for the "you ****" award.

Also interested to know about removing the dirt/debris from beneath these though.
