Hey! Been a while...

So, I have an impact wrench that I can't identify. It's a GREAT gun. My grandpa bought it second hand back in the 50's. A mechanic had gotten fired or had quit and was selling off some of his tools.

Any clue what it is? Looks like any sort of name plate wouldve been on the back, and thats missing.20221005_153951.jpg

The hexagon on the side is throwing me off. I think I recognize the hexagon from one of the big brands, but I'm  probably thinking of Matco and as far as I know, they weren't making tools in the 50s.

Same here. Most bigger brands from back then like CP engraved their name in the side. And I can't find too many pics of vintage impacts with everything intact. Nor do I know all the brands from those days.

I bet that's what it is. I see different ones with the hexagon and a barely-there acronym.

NAPA!

Their logo has a hexagon!

The NAPA logo typically looks like this, with the raised section cast into the logo.

Newer ones with a decal use a round format.

Then, NAPA isn't the only hex logo...

Even if it is NAPA, they certainly didn't make it.
