Hi Again
here's another vise i got at a yard sale for a few bucks but it has no name. i checked Google images but nothing came. I don't think its old so was their a label in that square section. Also the swivel has v42 the front jaw is v40 and the back is v41. Seems to be made pretty good but it doesn't have replaceable jaws so I'll make some brass ones and drill the holes in the mill to attach them Thanks Austin

I'm leaning towards a newer columbian but not positive.

Hi Thanks I did a search on that name it does have the square are that i would assume a name label goes in and the style is close to the same meaning the screw and slide. But others use that style also.

Thanks Again Austin

Brink & Cotton used to manufacture a similar vise to that. I'm not sure whether they manufactured any styles using that design than the two I pictured. The simpler later style Brink & Cotton vises were from after Wilton took over the brand name. It's possible they may have done private label manufacturing for other manufacturers, although I'm not completely certain.

Lots of companies made that style vise. I have a Lake Side with V6 and V7 cast into the dynamic jaw and body. I've always assumed those were just markings for the casting molds.

Deja vu, Didn't we do this same thread recently?

There was another thread were I mentioned Brink & Cotton. That was for the other style vise they made. The one that used two rods with the screw placed between them.

Fulton was another company that manufactured that style of vise, but it's not quite the same as that one either. The swivel base on the Fulton was also different.
