Hi Guys,

Does anybody know who manufactured the ratchets branded as "Firestone"?

How about when were they made and who sold them?

Please see pictures below. This is a 1/4" ratchet. Thank you, Indexmill.

Yes Plomb made. And the 1/4 is the hardest to come by. Took me 2 years to find one. The 1/2 and 3/8 are pretty common.

Looking for the following Plomb Pebbles Wrenches 3060, 3061, 3070

Looks chrome, but steel left a bit rough in some areas

Here they are in a 1948 Firestone catalog, and a picture of my pieces.

Yet another tool I don't need, but now feel that I must find. I have a few Plomb tools, mostly in the pebble style, but that Firestone ratchet style is an eye catcher. Thanks for posting, Indexmill. Fantastic pix everyone!

Nice set, BK. I especially like the correct pin handle. I once picked up a partial Firestone 1/2” drive set and had it for months without making any progress on it. I passed it along to Oldtuleguy and it seemed like he had it completed in a week or so. They were beautiful tools.

All marked Chrome alloy, and apparently stamped 221, the number of the firestone they are from?

Great stuff there. Just as good as 70 years ago and good for another seventy. Problem today is the " teeth whiners". That breaker there is for a reason. The fellow that owned the set was the real deal.

An odd little firestone tool. Looks like a gapper with an end for valve cores20220108_073242.jpg20220108_073231.jpg20220108_073226.jpg
