old school for sure. bulky, inefficient, and replaced with better technology.

No one needs them. They are a recent invention. They do make things much easier and usually faster.

Looks way more convenient than a battery operated impact that fits in one hand and can go on a couple dozen calls before it needs to be charged. Maybe they carry a battery operated compressor to fill up the tank to take the next lug off?

Especially because you can get 110 in the cab and keep a spare or two on charge all the time

Wow! My impact isn’t nearly as efficient.
The astro compact is surprisingly efficient. You can definitely get a half a dozen hits per lug on a 5 lugger and still have enough air left to tighten.

Back in the day when I actually did this for a living, before cordless existed, I had 2 air pigs and a IR gun. Do as much as possible with the gun before switching to the 4 way or breaker bar.
