Todd,
I'm trying to complete set 4347. I've included ad though I'm not sure what year catalog it came from. I'm only missing 3 pieces - SK 1/2" drive knurled 1-1/16 socket, 1/2" drive crossbar and the toolbox for this set. Would you have any of these missing pieces?

I'm also trying to complete a set of 1/2" drive long C underline Craftsman BE knurled sockets. I can't find a list that tells me all the sockets that were in the sets. I've got the following 1-1/8, 1-1/16, 1, 15/16, 7/8, 13/16, 3/4, 11/16, 21/32, 5/8 9/16, 1/2, & 7/16. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing socket-wise? These are all 12-pt. I've included 2 pics of one of the BE sockets just in case there are different versions.

If so let me know what I owe you. I wish I had anything you need I'd absolutely try to help you out.

Thanks!

Mike

Mike,

Mike,
We are working on the same sets! I have an extra SK 1 1/16" (pictured here) and you are welcome to if you can use it. I recently traded away most of my extra C BE sockets, but to answer your question on what is missing, I am using a New Britain catalog listing from Todd's Tool Archives site as my guideline. If you have any extras you'd like to trade for the SK socket, I am missing the 31/32" and the 1 3/16 from that set.

Todd, Mike,
I am also missing the following from my 1/2 dr C BE set: 1 1/4, 31/32, 25/32, 3/4, 5/8, 19/32.

Dang it! I just put those back away...…..way up high on a shelf for which I need a 10' ladder. I dug out the 5/8 and 3/4 for you. My only extra x/32 is 21.

Todd,
My bad but the BE list I posted was what I have not what I need. Because I can't find a list or catalog of BE sockets I'm looking at the 1940 New Britain catalog on your website toolarchives.com, here's what I'm missing from a basic set of 1/2" drive BE sockets:

1/2
9/16
19/32
3/4
25/32
15/16
1-1/8
1-1/4

Any help you can provide will be great!!!

Thanks, Mike

Thanks, I will take what you have gladly and I do appreciate your taking the time ( and I understand it can be short and consuming ) to offer what you do have. If you have a chance Id like to see a picture of what 85 toolboxes ( assuming you were not exaggerating ) looks like.

I just cant imagine what that might look like.

Let me know how to pay, do you take paypal, Ill pay the fees, makes no difference and for me it convenient, if not than where to send a check.

As in my signature, a Plomb pebble 1218 combo wrench would fill a glaring hole in a set of mine. ;)

Otherwise, a 1232 or 1210 would help too.

Thanks for doing this, twertsy!

Any Easco 1/2" drive deep 12 point 3/8", 7/16", 1-3/16", or 1-1/4"?

I have some older Proto 1/2" drive deep 12 point sockets, if you're still looking for any.

Thanks. Because a bunch of people have been asking, I did a new tour video this morning. As of this post, it's saying 70 minutes left on the upload. Should show up on my channel link posted before around noon today.

I can’t remember if I mentioned that I was looking for these, but I need a 1/4” drive New Britain knurled 7/16” socket and sliding Tee. They look like Craftsman BE tools. Thanks!

Gentlemen (and Ladies where applicable),
Who needs what? I'm putzing around the shop today, inventorying and completing socket sets, wrench sets, etc. I've come to the realization that I have way too many extras of everything. 85 toolboxes, mostly full of extra sockets, drive tools, ratchets, wrenches, etc. For example, I have 6 stacks full of only sockets, 3 stacks full of only wrenches, a roll-cab of ratchets only, and so on.

So, I've decided to share a bit. If you have partial sets where you are looking for pieces to complete them, post a pic so I know what style, and I'll do my best to help you out. All I'm asking for is compensation for the ride. If you ask for a "pile" and I can help, feel free to compensate as you wish, but I'm only asking for the ride.

A quick scan of "extras," homeless tools looking for their long lost sets, tells me I have some of everything.

I'm trying to work on a couple cars, and the engine for my '70 Goat will be here within the week...…..I need some room.

EDIT: My most desirous needs are in my signature if you'd rather just trade.

Thanks!!

Todd[emoji481]
You did not mention taps and dies but I'm looking for a few stamped with USS and SAE to complete a set.

I am looking for early Sears sockets to complete a mixed set that I have. I have an extra Plumb style ratchet 1/2inch male square if anyone needs one.
