Here's an old tool most have probably never seen...Blue Point Choke Tester:

I never knew that made a tester for chokes; must be for a vacuum operated one and not the mechanical one ..

Yep that is a Hilsch tube blows hot air out one end and cold air out the other.

I think I still have 3 or 4 OTC versions of that, tat are "new".


I still work on a lot of carbs.. Mostly Gm stuff

All 3 of my Mustangs have chokes, but I've never seen one of those tools. Pretty cool!

O yes I remember chokes and now am working on a 4X4 1979 Ford 300 6 cyl that has a choke on a large Holley 4 bbl carb and a Offenhauser iintake with a set of headers on it!

I still have a car with a choke...my GTO. Actually, when I first bought it from my brother back in '94, it had a Holley with a manual choke!

Manual chokes rock! Just don't drive too far with it on

Just converted my mini-buggy over to a manual choke. Makes troubleshooting a snap!

Well, all my cars are fuel injected, so this item will go on eBay tomorrow. And the last two cars I had with carbs had sidedraft Webers. No chokes on those. (They did have manual "enrichening" devices though, which kind of did the same thing.)
