I keep finding various vendors with the 9k lift, but I would like to do business with someone who works with you not just taking an order....any suggestions are welcome.

I went a different direction due to the fact that the two post had restrictions on mounting within 6 inches of the edge of the concrete. I would have had to "offset" the mounting to the center of the garage and would have taken away being able to park two cars side by side. I also got the Costco 8 gallon oil drain, 2 shorty tripod stands and a roll-a-round stool. This lift is VERY heavy and is somewhat portable which works well for me.

I purchased the Atlas 9KOH from gregsmithequipment and am very happy with it. their after sales support has been very good as well. I needed some extra shims and a new dump valve (the one that came with the lift leaked), both of which they shipped right out at no charge.

I picked it up at their warehouse in NH with my truck so it was $1,495 out the door

I bought a forward lift...or who ever owns forward now a few months ago from a local vender. They charged IIRC $300 to bring it out and install it....and let me tell you that is the best $300 I ever spent.

dmeray1,

Not sure where you are located so this may be out of your way, but here in NC there are a couple of manufacturers that sell them and other types. In Greensboro area one is called Eagle, I think and they have been highly rated. They had a two post package that was about $1400 on sale but regularly $2k. You can also pick it up and save the shipping. I have seen several reviews and if I were ready to put one in I would buy from them. GregSmith is also highly rated along with bendpak and matco$$$. I think if you can use one and are capable of working under one, you can install one. $300 to deliver and set up is probably money well spent. I have heard the cost being much higher many times though.
