About 3 years back when Lowes was getting rid of all their Ideal brand tools, I got everything I could. They seem good quality and have everything I need, but I cant seem to find them anymore. Lowes only carries the greenlee tools now, and even amazon doesnt have much Ideal tools. Every local supply store I been to only carried Klein. Is Ideal just not popular anymore?

Klein is beginning to outsource their line to that 3rd world country across the big pond.
Ideal owns Pratt Reed, who makes drivers for Menards, under the Masterforce line.

Ideal is primarily sold at electrical or industrial supply houses. I'd actually state that they're likely more "popular" than Klein amongst professional electricians these days. They make some phenomenally helpful specialty and test gear.

I have noticed a few electrical tools sporting the fine print "Ideal", but they have black handles and are way cheaper. Is this still Ideal branded pliers? The ones I bought had blue handles and were twice the price.

I have seen Ideal tools in several of the supply houses that sell telecom and electrical supplies. Mostly I use Harris Dracon and Progressive Electronics but the Ideal tools I've borrowed on jobs have been fine, just don't own any that I can think of. Maybe a coax crimmper but not sure since switching to compression fittings I have not touched it.
