Snapped this in front of a Sears Automotive. Craftsman tools must not be good enough

sears tries to run the dealers off when they show up. they have a couple of kids working at this one and 1 older tech. there are a lot of snap on tools in there, but they try to run the dealers off.

Maybe the truck guy was picking up some reasonably priced, quality Chinese tools for his personal use. LOL:bounce:

I could see Sears trying to run off a Tool truck dealer.

It is a bit confusing to me why Sears wouldn't let tool truck guys in... Since Craftsman tools are not supposed to be warranted for professional use... The auto techs who work at Sears shouldn't "technically" even be allowed to warranty broken Craftsman tools....

I think the Matco guy is patiently trying to explain to the Sears management that chrome on the craftsman wrenches is NOT a protective coating used just for shipping. That it actually is supposed to stay on during usage.

What are their technicians supposed to do for special tools?

Anyhow, that dealer has the right stuff. Who knows, he might even be giving you some competition.

Well I worked at a Sears Auto Center recently before going into the Tool Business between my old cop job and starting my business. You are required to have your own tools and when the trucks show up only one tech on at a time because the customer can watch you like a fish tank with all the glass. I would on occasion "Shop Use" a craftsman tool from the store but it was like pulling teeth with management. Sears is a Jacked up company to work for and I would caution anyone thinking of working for them. We had a tech there from the 70s that said back in the day they could only use craftsman and they would be supplied with tools. Well that was costing them (SEARS) money, so you know how that went.
