Well, I enjoyed the lathe thread so much I couldnt help but want to do it again with mills. I picked up a Wells Index 847 in trade on a tractor deal. Its one of my winter projects to get it cleaned up and going this year. If possible, I'd like to add power feed and a DRO. Let's see your mills!!!!

I have a Kent knee that I purchased 8 or so years ago. A couple years after I purchased it I converted it to CNC using a Centroid retrofit kit. Along with the Mori manual lathe you can see in the pic, I can make almost anything. CNC helps.

The big mill is a Dufour and the small is a Index 40. Pictures are from moving day. More in my build thread.

Nice score on the 847. I want to own one of those, or an 860 one day.

Currently I have an Index Model 40:

Wells-Index is still in business, and very good about parts support. My machine is from the 1940's, and I've been able to get a couple of things from them.

This is mine. Its an old Bridgeport M head been using it since I was little. Finally was able to get my own garage and my dad let me have it. Moving it was not much fun. The crane helped a ton. Going to rebuild the spindle over the winter.
