The Matco one looks just like the set you get at HF just has fewer pieces. I have the HF set and like it. Haven't used it on anything real challenging though. They are deep broach unlike my regular snap on impact sockets so are better for lug nuts especially those infernal stainless capped ones.

No idea, never seen the sunex branded ones. I'd bet money though that the astro pneumatic and hf sets have the same oem and the pic posted of matco looks identical other than marking.

So the set you have are they thin enough to fit in? As opposed to a regular impact socket that would not fit?

What wheel are you having an issue with? And yes they are very thin wall, you can rip the delrin protector off If you need extra clearance.

Well I hope you wouldn't bet too much money. Astro is one of the very few companies still making this type of socket in Taiwan, same factory since 2004.

We may not move as many sets as we used to with all the Chinese competition, but we get about 2 sockets back a year.

I think Titan makes the Matco sockets. I saw them at Pepboys once. http://www.summitracing.com/search/product-line/titan-lug-nut-sockets

The Mac set looks almost 100% identical to the Harbor Freight set

Wait...
Looks like HF also offers the Matco set as well

I know this is off topic but when it comes to oversea products like this, i wouldn't buy these tools truck brands. Especially when its the same manufacture who makes it for everyone lol.
