So I got up with every intention of getting out to the barn quickly and cleaning up my messes and loading the trailer for the day's work. I got the first two items done, loading the dishwasher and cleaning the kitchen counter. Brushed my teeth and thought, "I'll just take a quick look and see if anything good is on the GJ". An hour and a half later I'm still on GJ. Is it my fault for being a lazy a$&, or yours for being so entertaining and informative? Just thought you should know that I'm running late and I'm telling the wife it's all your fault.

I have 18% power left on this Ipad, then I am going to haul off that load of broken bricks I loaded yesterday. I really am. Wait! I remember there was a yard sale with tools this morning.....

That's not lazy. That is just energy conservation. The procrastination actually provides your subconscious longer to work on the problem you are about to face, thereby improving your chances of success.

Well done!

I'm going with climate change, it's not your fault. Keep calm and pop open a cold one.

I stole this joke from somewhere:

"When I say I'm gonna do something, that means I'm gonna do it! You don't have to keep nagging me every six months."

I heartily agree with you Outlander. I cannot count the times that I have let a project rattle around in my noggin only to come up with a better/ simpler solution than I first envisioned.

In fact, an response required urgently is dealt with in the shower. Amazing the ideas I have in there!

I think you are looking at blame the wrong way.
If you lower your expectations even getting out of bed you are a winner. You finished the dishes and counter what the more could anyone expect form you. Have you ever been irritated by your kids not finishing a task? Lower those expectations and no problem. Alls good.
Now NEVER say to your wife that taking her was lowering your expectations (Ive been there and it was not pretty). Ill be paying for that for the rest of my marriage.
The basis of this theory if you expect little to nothing almost anything will make you happy. Say your wife cant cook worth a damn. As long as it does not give you the runs be satisfied. It could have given you Salmanella. Be happy!
Now finish reading and take a nap. Its been a full productive day.

Do it the easy way, look at GJ at work. Then, you get paid for that hour-and-a-half. It's fun for you AND you were working, too.
