What's your experience with it, good, bad etc... I was looking at the 252 for when the shop is done, but a budy is selling his 251 for a decent price and thinking of buying it.
Thanks!

i have had my 251 for 10 years, no issues what so ever, just a few gun liners over the years. I use it all the time for fabrication. My favorite mig I have ever owned. If its under 1k scoop it up quick.

I've read nothing but good things so far, good to know! I'll find out tonight what he's thinking for a dollar amount. Considering the 252 is about $2500.new, I'd be stupid to not buy it i guess.

I used one in a structural fab shop for a while, we beat the machine daily pushing .052 dual shield and the machine always asked for more. Great machines and will do whatever you ask of them.

I've got a little Lincoln 175SP right now, so it'll be nice to bump up to a bigger machine.

The main reason I didn't get the 251 was that it uses the 30A spool gun where the 210 could use the 3035 gun. The 30A (much better gun) was another grand, the 3035 was being sold for about $300 at the time.

In hindsight I should have gotten the 251 if for no other reason than the fan on demand is much quieter and collects a lot less dirt inside of the unit. My dad bought the 251 and it is a great machine.

I had the MM251 for years and it was an outstanding machine. Never any issues. I really like the Miller product. Keeps me working trouble free. I now have a MM252 and its great also. You won't go wrong with either unit.

Looks like i'm the proud new owner of a 251! For $900., i couldn't pass it up, even if my shop is a couple months away from having a roof, it'll sit in the basement just fine.
Thanks for all the positive feedback guys, looking forward to glueing stuff together!!!LOL
Cheers!

WOW ! $900.00 , that is awesome ! By me they try to get $1500 and up for used ones. Seems that anyone selling a Miller is trying to get the price of a new one. Good luck and enjoy your new toy. Oh, bring it home before he comes to his senses !

Yeah it'll come home tomorrow. Not too worried about the price, i asked him what he was expecting to get for it, he suggested 900 as being fair so we shook hands and agreed.
Can't wait to play with my new toy.
