I can't get to some websites all of a sudden.
Started about 2 days ago. This site, yahoo, craigslist, open just fine.
A machinist group, http://www.hobby-machinist.com will not open,
sawmill creek will not open,
http://www.lottostrategies.com/scri...WV/west-virginia-lottery-numbers-archive.html will not open,
http://www.owwm.org/search.php?search_id=egosearch will not open,
I'm sure there are others, I did try empty temp Internet files.
I am using Firefox latest, 21.0
It's like a server is down or something.
I will try these sites in IE.
saw mill creek and hobby machinist open in IE but it is a funny looking page as shown.
Hobby machine opened one time like this in firefox too.

Press F5 or manually refresh the pages.
Clear the cache (google for instructions)
Reboot your computer
Run an anti-spyware program or anti-virus

Edit: Glad that you fixed it! Strange that the problem was with your modem, but I've seen weirder things.

If you cannot access a site try here: http://www.websitedown.info/ But as someone who has some of the same issues, there may be **** in your computer that may require the services of a professional to get rid of, I have been too lazy to send this one out......

can you run a command on the command line?
Don't know how, or what that means.

Will check that site tonight, If I can get to it.
EDIT, Can't get to it.

Try rebooting the router as well, if you have one.
Did that, was better first time, but then could not get to other websites, (Craigslist)

Your internet providers DNS server may be acting up. Try changing the dns servers on the computer your using. heres a link to the google ones. https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using

DNS is basically a server that changed your ebay.com to ebay.com's ip address.

Or possibly try a different computer or browser to see if that resolves it as well.
Will try it tonight.

Could be your firewall. Try clearing cookies.
Will try it tonight.
Still can't get to e bay, Photo bucket,
this site,www.perkinsexperiencesurvey.com
and craigslist, others I am sure.

IDK I called Frontier, They seem to think it might be my Modem, It seems like every time I power down the modem, it changes. Like craigs list is good now, but saw mill creek don't work. Before when I ran CC cleaner, shut the computer, shut the Modem, started everything back up, Yahoo and garage journal wouldn't work. I pulled the plug out of it, when I dragged it out to give frontier the model, and put the power plug back in, then yahoo worked, garage journal worked, but saw mill creek won't work.
It's just goofy.
They are sending me a new wireless modem, this one is an older westfall 6100 wire to wire modem, but it has always worked fine in the past.
I don't know.
EDIT,
See, Now I can't go to amazon, but I was just there an Hour ago.
Naw, it finely went (to Amazon)

I had a similar issue with both the HAMB and here on the GJ. I asked Ryan and he told me it was a firewall issue. I reset my modem evry day when I turn it off and not in use. Clear cookies as often as you can. When the issue comes up again then you know what you have to do. Hope the new modem fixes the issue.

you should not have to shut the modem and clear cookies every day. I don't think at least.
Last time I hooked the old modem back up, it has been working OK.
Do you think there is any point in hooking up the new modem, would download be any faster?
I don't understand, this is supposed to be a wireless modem, but it has a ethernet jack, and a phone jack. How is that wireless.
Or am I just as well leaving it wired, if I do hook it up?
I don't need wireless, it stays at a desk.
Modem is a Frontier model 7550.
