Why can't we post a link to an ebay auction?

I have a MEGA serious milwaukee tool hammer drill for sale, and I'm trying to get it shown to the widest audience possible... so why I can't I link that? I have high feedback and have been an ebay member for over a decade.

What gives?

What gives is that we enjoy using the classifieds here as a way to share tools and tool deals among the members of the GJ community. We don't want the classifieds to be a place to show members what they can buy on eBay; an eBay search does that already. Why don't you list the item here for a while? There are no fees, and there are a lot of serious tool buyers.

That being said, if it's on eBay, then you already have it placed where there is a massive audience. I don't think you'll be hurting for views if you have it listed properly.

It's a pretty specific tool, way way way more ******** than what most people need/want. The problem is with a high dollar item I feel way more comfortable on ebay, as I have multiple layers of protection, feedback, etc.

Well, I understand. And, you can list it on eBay. You just can't link to your eBay auction via our classifieds here. I hope you understand the spirit behind the policy.
