Why do leak down testers come with one spark plug hose only?

Compression testers often come with multiple hoses.

Leak down testers seem to come with only one for the common M14 size.

Is the idea that you will take your compression tester hoses, remove the valve, and use them on the leak down?

Why not just sell one kit with everything?

Or why sell the leak down with any hose at all?

Just say needs to be used in conjunction with compression tester hoses?

OTC kit uses adapters for non=standard sizes...simple enough in most cases...

what is your complaint, practically/? about using adapters or something ?

I am just wondering why compression testers seems to be more "fully packaged" to work on many more vehicles than the leak down testers. The current Snap On leak down testers don't seem to have anything other than a hose with a short M14x1.25 and a long M14x1.25. But there compression tester has probably half a dozen adapters or hoses. The thing with the hoses is that they have a valve in them so you'd have to remove it to use on the leak down tester. Just wondering the logic here. Not a complaint.

Probably because the two are interdependent. You do a compression test prior to the leak down test. The adapters and hoses should interchange between them, no need to have two sets.
