Why do so many members omit a 'location'?

I was just curious why so many people don't include any location in their GJ profile? The answers to so many questions is entirely dependent upon the location, so why not include at least a general location?

YOU are not any harder to find using a screen name. I can find you down to a neighborhood just with your IP address. After that a few photos you post, things you say and I am betting locating your residence wouldn't be that hard.

Point is, if you post anything online, you are already compromised. The tinfoil hat wont save you!
