Why does SO hate Blue?

Is it just me or does SO seem to hate the color blue for anything they make other then their tool boxes? Think of all the Red, Black, Orange, Lime Green, Yellow and hell even pink tools you've seen SO produce but hardly ever anything in blue. Even when they do, it's usually limited screwdrivers and in some funky non-standard blue like dark blue or pearl blue. Why not a whole series of Royal Blue tools to match their toolboxes in that color?

Probably because the blue is associated with Blue Point...

royal blue is also associated with Cornwell. or maybe blue in general just wasnt a big seller when it was produced years ago?

they have made blue stuff in the past. perhaps it dosent sell very well

I always thought..Snap On =black handle screwdriver, MAC =red handle screwdriver, MATCO purpleish/brown handle screw driver, Cornwell Blue handle screwdriver.

i hate the dark blue because if i set it down in an engine bay or set it somewhere or drop it down somewhere its really hard to see and commonly missed

they still pop up on ebay. a guy at work has a full screwdriver set. sometimes they do ratchets. but in general its the blue point color

SO is very aware that Blue tools would be in heavy demand by me, and I have sent many, many letters asking them not to give me any excuses to send them more money. I think someone at the factory has been reading my letters.

I love the look of the Snap-On royal blue tools. If they would bring out a new hard screwdriver set and/or ratchets in blue, I'd buy 'em. I probably wouldn't use them much, for the same reason I avoid the black ones- visibility. There's no mistaking when one of my radioactive green handled tools is sitting under a hood, they jump out at you from across the shop.
