These things are reserve for people with deep pockets and needs in industrial /commercial setups. Not exactly a cheap thing or needs for most people.
Apparently so, I spent 40 years working commercial / medical / industrial equipment and this was a common situation. I always had to be aware of what I was checking and what the zero reference was. I was hard for young guys to understand that a neutral isn’t always the same point electrically in their head. Depends on what fed it. So a young guy blow a set of meter leads doing this, used leads to jumper neutrals. Told him not to and why. The plant electrician told him the same. But was navy trained and knew more than us. We felt the risks were low, control transformers across a assembly line. It took longer to locate the transformer with the bad fuse than anything. But the look on the new guys face as it arced was priceless, mote importantly he learned the lesson of reference points.
