why is it so hard to find a rectangle damper?

This is for my house, but I need some help.
I have a 14x10 damper where one of the spring loaded clips broke off. I need to find a replacement and keep coming up empty. The only local HVAC supply store is A/C License only.
I cant believe how hard this is to find on-line.. Any suggestions?

We made them where I worked. I suspect most companies do.

If I was coming up empty handed, I'd be tempted to cut that tab off, install a pc of bar or square stock, drill & tap to put a screw to hold it from popping out

If all you need is the hardware for the pivot, stop at a local HVAC shop. They might just give you one. I know we would have.

Those look like Duro Dyne parts. You just get the parts and make ANY size/shape damper you need out of sheet metal.

Those are just clips you hammer into a piece of sheet metal. You make whatever size or shape you need.

The clips are sold by themselves.

Search "damper quadrant " , much better design then those crappy spring loaded clips.

Thanks guys, I was having a hard time figuring out what the clips were called or how to get them. I "think" I have a better plan for it now.
