My 15/16 wrench is Vlchek... strangely enough I had a dream about it the other night... all that happened is I let one of the techs from the tire shop next door borrow it... ya I have bizarre dreams, but at least this one didn't involve bottle deposit machines!

I wonder how many of these sets have survived intact.

That's a cool little ratchet jwitt, I have the big brother 1/2" version that matches - head-wise - one of my 1/2" Bonneys. If I remember AA accurately, Vlchek contracted out for ratchet/socket production, wrenches were in-house. Haven't been able to find the Bonney patent for that head design (yet), but my guess is early 50'sish - maybe somebody else has better info. Also, according to John Garner, Vlchek was absorbed by Pendelton in the late 50's, which would explain my other Vlchek ratchet being a kissin' cousin to a Penens round head.

I have a small collection of VlChek stuff. One day, after I finish my WF collection, I'll pony up for a nice collection of these. I'm not a real fan of the drive stuff but love the wrenches. Anyone have a catalogue of VlChek tools? I'd like to know what to call the style I like!
